This work is inspired by Věra Chytilová’s film Daisies (Czchec: Sedmikrásky). It is a circular accordion with a series of images of scanned fruits and flowers. There are also envelopes with eucalyptus and lavender leaves. The film, full of inspiring images, includes a lot of collages. I wanted to explore a similar handmade technique, but not as obvious as collage. That is why I chose scanning. Images are simple but evocative. Binding is almost sculptural.
